Job summary

Tate is seeking a Research Infrastructure Engineer to join a specialist team delivering advanced computing platforms that support research, data science and AI initiatives. You will help maintain secure, reliable and scalable Linux-based HPC and storage environments in a hybrid setup.

You will collaborate with researchers to design technical solutions, automate platforms, document guidance, and contribute to performance improvements while delivering user training and workshops.

Qualifications

• Linux systems administration experience for research computing.
• Strong background in High Performance Computing (HPC).
• Experience with enterprise storage platforms.
• Network administration experience.
• GPU-enabled environments experience.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and administering Linux-based research computing platforms.
• Managing HPC, AI and data-intensive infrastructure.
• Maintaining large-scale storage environments.
• Troubleshooting complex infrastructure, networking and software issues.
• Working closely with researchers to develop technical solutions.
• Producing technical documentation and user guidance.
