The role is dedicated to supporting research grant administration and related objectives across the Faculty of History and beyond, as part of a flexible team of School Research Grant Assistants.

• Experience in research grant administration is advantageous.
• Able to work across multiple institutions in a flexible, team-based environment.
• Willingness to learn University systems; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial and administrative support across the full grants lifecycle to academic, research and administrative staff to enable effective grant management.
• Create and circulate accessible information about grant opportunities; work with relevant staff to support development of grant applications and to support grants post award.
• Support grants post award, maximising income and mitigating risk, using University systems such as Worktribe, CHRIS and CUFS.
• Be an excellent communicator with the confidence to relate to a wide range of people and to be an effective team player with a flexible approach.
• Possess high level organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to take initiative and prioritise a varied workload to meet deadlines.
