An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual to join the Joint Research and Enterprise Services as a Research Governance and Facilitation Officer. This role plays a key part in providing research governance and facilitation services to academics and clinicians, focusing on clinical studies hosted at St George’s and non-CTIMPs sponsored by St George’s.
The Research Governance and Facilitation Officer will deliver high-standard services to clinical researchers, including processing project approvals, assessing study feasibility, and providing ongoing project support. The post-holder will ensure that clinical research at St George’s adheres to the highest standards of science, governance, and ethics. They will manage projects from various Divisions and Institutes within St George’s.
This role supports the development, implementation, and monitoring of systems for effective management of Research & Development, research governance, and risk management across St George’s University Hospitals Foundation Trust and St George's University of London. It ensures robust systems are in place to support, monitor, and coordinate research activities in accordance with relevant regulations and legislation.

The post-holder will foster excellent communication and working relationships with internal and external clinical research professionals. They must work well under pressure, manage conflicting demands, and possess strong organizational, communication, and IT skills. Confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail are essential.
