Job summary

Kings College London seeks a highly qualified researcher to advance participatory, design-led research with strong experimental and survey methods involving human participants. The role requires collaboration across disciplines and a proven publication record.

You will work with computer scientists and designers to translate findings into interactive system specifications, potentially supervising junior researchers and coordinating work packages within research grants.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant subject area (or pending results) including experimental and quantitative social sciences, HCI, design research, experimental psychology, digital humanities, health services research, education, public policy research, or science and technology studies.
• Experience designing and facilitating participatory, co-design / deliberative research with professional / community groups.
• Experience designing and running experimental or survey studies with human participants, including online recruitment.
• Expertise in quantitative or qualitative analysis of human participant data (e.g. questionnaire responses and conversation or group discussion transcripts).
• Proven research experience, as evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed journals, as a book chapter or other research output.
• Demonstrated interest in LLMs, and ability to work with computer scientists and designers to turn research findings into the specification of an interactive system
• Experience leading work packages of a research grant/s or coordinating research projects.
• Experience supervising junior researchers (e.g. research assistants / students)
