Job summary

University of Hertfordshire’s School of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences seeks a Research Fellow to join the CRATDS project at College Lane Campus, Hatfield. The role focuses on human-relevant lung models to study neutrophil migration and inflammatory responses in vitro, with opportunities for publishing and funding applications.

The ideal candidate has a PhD or equivalent, strong mammalian cell culture experience, and a track record in respiratory biology or immunology.

Qualifications

• Experience in mammalian cell culture.
• Experience collaborating with HEIs or external partners.
• Good IT skills and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate human respiratory epithelial and immune-cell models.
• Study neutrophil migration and epithelial barrier function.
• Plan and deliver experiments; analyse data and report progress.
