Job summary

University of Leeds is seeking a Research Fellow in Host Pathogen Interactions to investigate bunyavirus host factors using genome-wide screening and advanced imaging. The role offers access to state-of-the-art facilities within the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.

The successful candidate will have a PhD with postdoctoral experience, strong publication record, and expertise in molecular biology, imaging, and genome-wide screening in host–pathogen systems.

Qualifications

• PhD required and postdoctoral experience in host–pathogen interactions.
• Experience with genome-wide screening and molecular biology techniques.
• Proven publication record in high-ranking journals.
• Experience with cell-imaging techniques and mechanistic dissection.
• Ability to work in an international collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Study host–pathogen interactions of bunyaviruses at the molecular level.
• Implement genome-wide CRISPR-Cas9 and haploid cell screening.
• Perform imaging-based mechanistic dissection and functional manipulation.
