Job summary

University of Bradford invites applications for a Research Fellow in Health Data Science within the Centre for Digital Innovations in Health & Social Care. The role focuses on using linked health and care data to develop, validate, and evaluate clinical decision support tools such as CARSS, with emphasis on fairness in risk prediction models.

The 3-year fixed-term post supports the Centre's broad research agenda on reducing documentation burden and improving decision-making in health systems.

Qualifications

• PhD in health data science or biostatistics or equivalent research experience.
• Experience of strong linked data analysis in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Create and lead health data research using linked health and care datasets.
• Develop, validate and evaluate clinical decision support tools (e.g., CARSS).
• Investigate fairness and intersectionality in risk prediction models.
• Contribute to Centre-wide flagship research on reducing documentation burden and carbon footprint.
