Job summary

University of Aberdeen is seeking a Research Fellow in Cardio-immunology and Thrombo-inflammation to study Takotsubo cardiomyopathy within the Cardiology research group. 5-year, funded post with opportunities to define immune responses and thrombo-inflammatory pathways.

Qualifications

• Postdoctoral immunology training with focus on cardiovascular mechanisms.
• Experience with translational research and team collaboration.
• Strong aptitude for mechanistic studies in takotsubo cardiomyopathy.

Responsibilities

• Define innate and adaptive immune responses in acute and convalescent patients.
• Develop thrombosis and fibrinolysis knowledge to study thrombo-inflammation.
• Collaborate with immunology, thrombosis, bioinformatics and clinical teams.
