This position will play a key role in a small team developing novel automated inspection systems for the UK’s next submarine fleet, focusing on the inspection of structural components, tanks, and pipework. We are looking for a candidate with substantial professional engineering experience, including working to standards, to complement the research strengths of the existing team. To be considered, you should hold a PhD in engineering or equivalent, with a proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects, hands-on expertise in software design and architecture, system integration, project management, and technical documentation.
