Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic, Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in electronic hardware design or embedded C development.
• Basic working knowledge of the other discipline.
• Confidence with test equipment and schematics reading.

Responsibilities

• Design, assemble and modify electronic circuits and PCBs.
• Develop and debug embedded software, primarily in C.
• Build prototypes, test systems and investigate faults.
• Use lab equipment to verify performance and reliability.
• Support system integration, commissioning and documentation.

Location: Fareham, Hampshire - on site.

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 plus package.

Copello is looking for an R&D Engineer to join a specialist technology business developing innovative engineering solutions for challenging environments.

This is a varied, hands-on position covering electronics, embedded software, prototype development and testing. Recent graduates and early-career engineers are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, assemble and modify electronic circuits and PCBs.


• Develop and debug embedded software, primarily in C.


• Build prototypes, test systems and investigate technical faults.


• Use laboratory equipment to verify performance and reliability.


• Support system integration, commissioning and technical documentation.

About You:

• Degree in Electronic, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.


• Practical experience in either electronic hardware design or embedded C development.


• Basic working knowledge of the other discipline.


• Confident using test equipment, reading schematics and troubleshooting issues.


• Strong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach.

Desirable:

• STM32 or other Arm Cortex-M development.


• MTBF or FMEA analysis
