Job summary

The MND Association is seeking a Research Engagement and Involvement Co-ordinator to support public and patient involvement across its research programme in Northampton. The role will help coordinate initiatives like the Community Research Advisory Network and EnCouRage, ensuring meaningful contributions from people affected by motor neurone disease.

You will liaise with researchers and the MND community, organise webinars and events, and promote accessible communications while maintaining

Qualifications

• Graduate calibre or equivalent in biological sciences, public engagement or communications.
• Experience supporting public engagement or involvement activities
• Experience working with diverse communities or in people-focused roles
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Confidence using a range of digital tools, systems and online platforms
• Knowledge of public and patient involvement and engagement practices

Responsibilities

Job description

As a Research Engagement and Involvement Co-ordinator, you will support public and patient involvement and engagement activities across the MND Association's research programme. Desirable

• Ability to communicate scientific or technical information clearly and accurately
• Experience coordinating events or delivering workshops
• Understanding of health research or neuroscience

Hybrid working Expectations: 1 day per week in our Northampton office
