Job summary

Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a role within the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration: North East and North Cumbria. The post focuses on monitoring, evaluation, and supporting external funding bids, while implementing a new Research Capacity Development strategy with the Chief Operating Officer and development leads.

The role is split 50/50 between researcher capacity development and research management, offering opportunities to design learning programmes,

Qualifications

• Significant knowledge and experience of project management in multi-agency settings.
• Finance/budget management experience within research programmes.
• Experience working in a research environment and delivering events or training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day management for designated research projects and capacity programmes.
• Support bids for external funding, project monitoring and reporting.
• Embed research inclusion and track budgets across projects.
• Collaborate with COO and leads to implement capacity development strategies.
