The ARIA Junior Clinical Research Fellowships (JRF) offer a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of brain-computer interface (BCI) technology and cognitive neuroscience. Funded by a £6.5 million research grant from the Advanced Research and Invention Agency (ARIA), this role involves translating innovative therapeutic BCI for brain network disorders. As an ARIA JRF, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team working on the Forest 1 device, which uses ultrasound to enable high-resolution brain imaging and neuromodulation. The fellowship involves a 50% clinical and 50% research split, ideal for a post-foundation program resident doctor interested in clinical neuroscience and research.
This 12-month hybrid position includes clinical work at Queen's Hospital's neurosurgery department, such as ward cover, theatre attendance, and SHO on-call shifts. You will participate in research involving the Forest 1 device, recruiting participants and conducting experimental sessions with neuroimaging and cognitive testing across two London sites. Additionally, you will lead a research project aligned with the fellowship goals.
