University of Cambridge invites applications for four fixed-term Post-doctoral Research Associate positions in the Department of Chemistry to work with Professor Christopher Hunter on supramolecular chemistry. Successful applicants will join a multidisciplinary team in Cambridge and contribute to research, supervision, and lab management.

Applicants should have a PhD in chemistry and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• PhD in chemistry (or near to completion)
• Experience in organic synthesis, supramolecular chemistry, physical organic chemistry and computational chemistry
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Experience supervising postgraduate and undergraduate students and running a laboratory

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 12 months in the first instance.Applications are invited for four post-doctoral research associates to work with Professor Christopher Hunter in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Cambridge in the general area of supramolecular chemistry. The appointee will join a multidisciplinary team of several post-docs and PhD students based in Cambridge.Applicants should have (or be about to obtain) a PhD in chemistry. Experience in some or all of organic synthesis, supramolecular chemistry, physical organic chemistry and computational chemistry is essential.The appointees will be expected to give oral presentations on their work, write internal reports and produce draft publications, and relevant communication skills are required.
