We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Associate and researcher in Inorganic and Physical Chemistry. The post will be equally split between undergraduate teaching and research (i) to plan and deliver tutorials, lectures and laboratory classes, assessing students' work. To develop new teaching resources. To provide pastoral support for our students on their journey through our programmes and (ii) to conduct and support research within Professor George's research group into advanced spectroscopy and process monitoring for a wide range of chemical reactions. You will also be expected to undertake co-supervision of undergraduate and/or postgraduate research projects and contribute to the preparation of scientific articles as appropriate and to contribute to the overall academic administration and collegiality of the School. The post is available to start immediately.
The person appointed will join a multidisciplinary team working at the University of Nottingham in Chemistry and Engineering. The projects are led by Professor Mike George and also involve Professor Sir Martyn Poliakoff (Chemistry).

The position will be offered on a fixed-term contract ending 31st August 2028 to start as soon as possible. The hours of work will be full-time (36.25 per week).
