Job summary

King’s College London’s Centre for Telecommunications Research (CTR) invites applications for a full-time post to contribute to the 6G CHEDDAR Hub. The role requires a PhD (or equivalent) in Telecoms, CS, and engineering, with preference for experience in designing semantic systems and networks.

You will be based at CTR and collaborate with project partners and researchers, with a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2030 and a competitive London-weighted salary.

About the role

The role will be part of a £16 million 6G CHEDDAR Hub, “Communications Hub forEmpowering Distributed clouD computingApplications and Research (CHEDDAR)”, led by Imperial College London.

You will be a conscientious, innovative scientist who has successfully completed a PhD (or equivalent) in Telecoms, computer science and engineering, including electrical/electronic engineering or similar. Experience in designing goal‑oriented semantic system and network is preferred.

At King’s, you will join a research‑leading and multi‑disciplinary team, including Professor Yansha Deng, and Professor Marco Di Renzo. You will be based at the Centre for Telecommunications Research (CTR) at the Department of Engineering. The successful candidate will also be expected to collaborate with the project partners and members of the research group.

This is a full‑time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 31st March 2030.

£46,189 per annum, including London Weighting Allowance
