Research Associate/Fellow (Brewing Science) (fixed term)

Join us to apply for the Research Associate/Fellow (Brewing Science) (fixed term) role at University of Nottingham.

This position is based at the International Centre of Brewing Science (ICBS) on the Sutton Bonington Campus.

Salary

£31,637 to £46,735 per annum, depending on skills and experience (minimum £35,116 with relevant PhD). Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will conduct research and develop objectives for a project focused on creating a sustainable brewing adjunct material, sponsored by an industry partner with set milestones and deliverables.

Qualifications & Experience
  • PhD (or near completion) in brewing science, malting science, yeast cell biology, fermentation, or a related field.
  • Experience in disseminating research through conferences and peer-reviewed journals.
  • Strong knowledge of brewing and fermentation principles and laboratory or pilot-plant research experience.
  • Excellent relationship-building, organizational, and communication skills.

Part of the School of Biosciences, ICBS offers state-of-the-art facilities supporting research and teaching in brewing science.

Contract Details

Full-time, fixed-term until 28 February 2027, 36.25 hours/week.
