Job summary

Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) invites applicants for a Research Associate on a 12-month contract (or to 31 December 2027, whichever is earlier) to join a collaborative project with Mast Group Ltd.

You will use state-of-the-art analytical techniques, including HPLC and NMR spectroscopy, to study antibiotic stability in UTI diagnostics and to characterise host–guest interactions, contributing to both academic research and industrial product development.

Qualifications

• Experience with analytical chemistry techniques, including HPLC and NMR spectroscopy.

Responsibilities

• Apply state-of-the-art analytical techniques to study antibiotic stability in UTI diagnostics.
• Characterise host–guest interactions and quantify their effects on antibiotic stability.
• Collaborate with LJMU and Mast Group Ltd researchers on a joint project.
