Liverpool John Moores University invites applications for a Research Associate to work on a collaborative project with Mast Group Ltd focused on improving the stability and performance of antibiotics used in urinary tract infection diagnostics. The role involves applying advanced analytical chemistry techniques and working closely with both academia and industry.

The 12-month contract (or to 31 December 2027, whichever is earlier) offers exposure to both academic research and industrial product

Responsibilities

• Apply state-of-the-art analytical techniques (HPLC, NMR) to characterise host-guest interactions and quantify their effects on antibiotic stability.
• Collaborate with LJMU and Mast Group Ltd to advance the project on improving antibiotic stability in UTI diagnostics.
• Contribute to academic research outputs, including reports and potential publications.
