This is a general posting to build a pipeline of interested candidates for future openings at CGD Europe, an independent research organization in London, UK. The starting salary ranges from 30,000 to 33,000 GBP. Applications will be kept on file for 120 days, and candidates are not necessarily applying for a currently open position. Research Assistants support collaborative research projects through research, data analysis, writing, and administrative activities. Program Coordinators support program teams with grants, financial management, operations, project management, and some research support. Both roles are suitable for recent undergraduates interested in research, policy, and project management, with opportunities for promotion after two years.
Ideal candidates should have an interest in economic development research and policy, be highly organized and motivated, and adaptable to changing priorities. Specific interests in CGD’s core research areas are encouraged: Education, Global Health, Migration and Displacement, Sustainable Development Finance, Technology and Development, Governments and Development.
Minimum requirements:
Key skills include analytical, organizational, writing, and communication skills, with some related work or research experience. Bonus points for quantitative analysis skills, experience with data visualization tools (Stata, R, Python), economics degrees, or experience in developing countries.
