The University of Sheffield’s School of Law invites an experienced Research Assistant to join an N8 Policing Research Project-funded study on suicides on release from police custody. You will gather and analyse case records, inquest verdicts, PFD reports and media coverage across England and Wales, contributing to a data-driven understanding of risk factors.

You will attend team meetings, present findings, and co-author outputs as you develop research skills and independence for your future

• Collect and analyse information about NPCC-held data, including inquest outcomes, PFD reports and media coverage.
• Attend meetings with the research team and police stakeholders.
• Present at relevant events and co-author outputs.
