Job summary

The University of Sheffield for the School of Law is seeking a part‑time Research Assistant to support the N8 Policing Research Project on preventing suicides on release from police custody. You will collect and analyse data from NPCC records and public sources, contributing to in-depth case reviews.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in a relevant social science or equivalent.
• Master's degree in a relevant social science discipline or equivalent.
• PhD in a relevant social science is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collect qualitative and quantitative data for all cases in NPCC-held data.
• Gather in-depth qualitative data for a subset of cases.
• Liaise with the research team and external stakeholders on the Research Advisory Group.
