We are seeking a Research Assistant (Mental Health) to support a 30-month research project exploring incidents and staffing on adult acute mental health wards: the #StaffedWards project. The School of Healthcare fosters a community of dynamic and successful applied health and social care researchers committed to making a positive impact on the lives of service users, caregivers, and health professionals, including contributing to research-led education.
The Quality and Safety research theme is interdisciplinary, focusing on high-quality applied research to enhance the quality and safety of health and care services. Our research addresses questions relevant to communities, patients, families, health and social care professionals, organizations, educators, and policymakers.
Applicants should have a degree, preferably complemented by a Master’s qualification with formal research training (such as an MSc in Health Sciences or social care research) related to applied health and care research. Demonstrable skills and experience in conducting research within social care and health contexts are essential.

Part-time role: 50% of full-time hours
