Job Title: Research Assistant at Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research

Join our team at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, located at Old Road Campus Research Building, Roosevelt Drive, Headington, Oxford, OX3 7DQ. We are seeking a dedicated Research Assistant to support our cutting-edge cancer research projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Handle and process human tissue samples in accordance with ethical and regulatory guidelines.
2. Establish and maintain 3D patient-derived AVATAR models.
3. Perform molecular biology and immunological assays, including immunohistochemistry, PCR, and flow cytometry.
4. Assist with data collection, interpretation, and presentation of findings at lab meetings and to external collaborators.
5. Collaborate closely with clinicians, researchers, and industry partners.
6. Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols.
7. Maintain accurate research documentation and support laboratory upkeep.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences, molecular biology, cancer biology, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with molecular and cellular biology techniques such as immunohistochemistry and flow cytometry.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with multidisciplinary teams.

Desirable:
