The Role

We seek a motivated Research Assistant/Associate to develop data visualisation and interactive dashboards within a digital twin environment. Responsibilities include creating dashboards to visualise sensor data and integrating data sources like BIM and GIS. You will work on a project co-funded by Innovate UK, collaborating with researchers and industry partners to translate research into practical solutions. Your work will involve ensuring seamless data connectivity, optimizing data flows, and developing user-friendly interfaces for stakeholders.

This is a full-time, fixed-term role for 3-4 months.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Proficiency in AI and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras
• Programming skills in Python for data analysis and software development
• Experience with database management systems (SQL, NoSQL)
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, and API development
• Experience in software development and system integration, especially with AI models
• Experience with BIM and GIS plugins or add-ons
• Understanding of project planning, open data formats like IFC, and cybersecurity principles
