As R&D Manager, you’ll lead the development and industrialisation of cutting-edge battery chemistries, like Nickel-Zinc (NiZn), supporting vital submarine programs and emerging applications.

The R&D Manager will:

  • Lead planning and delivery of R&D projects on NiZn and emerging battery technologies.
  • Manage lab trials, prototype development, and early product validation.
  • Translate business goals into technical research workstreams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate R&D into product lifecycles.
  • Provide Design Authority oversight for battery cells once qualified.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering and quality management systems.

The R&D Manager will have:

  • Degree in Engineering or related science discipline; postgraduate preferred.

  • Hands-on experience in battery development, particularly aqueous chemistries.
  • Strong knowledge of product development lifecycles from concept to production.
  • Experience in regulated industries like Defence or Aerospace.
