Job description

The Search Group is a Risk and Research consultancy firm with a global footprint, and an enhanced presence in both Europe and East Asia. Our global clients rely upon us for due diligence, business intelligence, and specialist research products. We are also available to assist clients in developing their ethics and governance programs—covering regulatory and financial crime compliance, ESG, and business conduct. TSG is growing quickly; hence, we are looking for motivated and committed individuals to join our local and global teams across all areas.

Job Summary
As a Research Analyst, you will be part of our Operations team and will report directly to the regional team leader. You will be an individual contributor, working alongside Senior Research Analysts and Editors to support projects and your professional development. Your responsibilities include conducting research on internet and web-based media databases, and producing high-quality reports on companies and/or individuals using publicly available and proprietary sources. You must ensure that reports meet our standards for content quality, accuracy, timeliness, and completeness, adhering to The Search Group’s standards.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on internet or web-based media databases.
  • Produce high-quality reports involving research and analysis in different languages. Fluency in English and at least one of the following is required: Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Lithuanian, Arabic, French, Polish, or Czech.
  • Perform first-level quality control through peer review.
  • Carry out watchlist database screening for due diligence checks.
  • Contribute to improving report writing processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Engage with the Research team across offices, seek feedback, obtain updates, and manage report delivery expectations.
  • Stay informed about regional and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure the integrity of key products.
  • Participate actively in ad-hoc projects on short notice.
Qualifications, Skills & Education Requirements
  • Tertiary degree in Law, Political Science, International Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in due diligence, professional services, or similar report generation roles.
  • Fluent in English and at least one of the following languages: Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Lithuanian, Arabic, French, Polish, or Czech.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to support and oversee other research analysts and monitor their work.
  • Leadership and project management skills.
  • Strong research skills across all media, with an understanding of risk and compliance issues.
  • Ability to conduct ad hoc and bespoke research.
  • Knowledge of Office products, internet searches, and social media tools.
  • Consistently deliver reports on time.
  • Dedication to continuous learning.
  • Client-focused approach and high integrity.
  • This is a remote work position based in the country where the job is advertised.
