Who we are

S-RM is an intelligence and risk consulting firm that works with leading businesses, government agencies, financial services and law firms worldwide.

As a MENA-focused due diligence analyst, you will be part of our Investor Due Diligence team, helping government agencies that run citizenship and residency by investment programmes understand and manage their exposure to money laundering and corruption concerns, meet legal and regulatory requirements, and safeguard their commercial reputations.

The role

At S-RM no day is the same, and there are incredible opportunities to learn. We’re proud to say our investigative training is amongst the best in the industry. You’ll have some of the brightest colleagues to support you - former journalists, economists, lawyers, financial analysts, scientists, military and intelligence professionals. Collectively, our people speak more than 40 languages.

Working as a part of an experienced team, you will research, analyse and write up complex, and sometimes controversial, media and human source insight to aid our investment migration clients in making impactful decisions at the investor onboarding stage.

We are looking for someone who is adaptable, can be part of a team and wants to grow with the business. In this role, you are likely to take on the following tasks on a day-to-day basis:

  1. Critically analysing and assessing all information obtained during research, including media, and insight from human sources;
  2. Conducting in-depth online research on subjects and their wealth generation using various open-source tools and human source enquiries;
  3. Conducting research on regional commercial, security and political issues;
  4. Verbally interacting in one or more of the aforementioned languages with external parties as part of the due diligence process;
  5. Presenting research and assessments clearly in written form.

The role will be based in our London office, however we have flexible working arrangements available.

  1. The ability to read and speak one or more of the following languages at an advanced level: Arabic, Kurdish (Sorani), Turkish, Urdu.
  2. Utilise the aforementioned languages to a standard that enables critical assessment of meaning and relevance of media articles;
  3. A demonstrable understanding of commercial dynamics in the Middle East;
  4. A demonstrable understanding of the different forms that corruption and sanction evasion takes across sectors and geographies in the Middle East;
  5. An understanding of the media and legal landscape in the Middle East;
  6. The ability to write in clear and concise business English;
  7. Great teamwork and verbal communication skills and an agile and proactive approach to one’s career and personal development.
