Job summary

Avalere Health in Manchester is seeking a Reporting & Reconciliation Specialist to support the Reconciliation Lead in financial project reconciliations and client reporting. You will train junior colleagues, develop processes, and ensure compliance across accounts.

Key duties include managing TPC data, budget-aligned reconciliation, and producing client-specific reporting bundles. You will work within a flexible hybrid model with global collaboration opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a role within a finance environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel formulas.
• Experience handling reconciliation and reporting tasks is preferred (ToV/Sunshine Act).
• Ability to work to deadlines and maintain accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and methodical approach.
• Able to collaborate with team members and support senior staff.

Responsibilities

• Cross-check Third Party Cost (TPC) reports and identify discrepancies.
• Chase or source outstanding TPCs promptly.
• Collate backup for reconciliation folders and mark up TPC invoices.
• Analyse TPCs against budgets and enter into final reconciliation budgets.
• Produce audit trails showing how figures are derived.
• Set up and lead timely reconciliation review meetings.
• Prepare reconciliation backups and documents for client requirements.
• Distribute reporting templates and supporting documentation to clients.

About The Role

The Reporting & Reconciliation Specialist will be required to support the manager responsible for the financial reconciliation of projects and ensure that all reconciliation and HCP Transfer of Value (ToV) reporting requirements (Sunshine Act and EFPIA) are completed accurately, within required deadlines and to required standard. This role will support the Reporting & Reconciliations Lead in the training of junior colleagues including the the delivery of best practice, and the draft of processes and procedures across client accounts.

• Cross-check Third Party Cost (TPC) report(s) thoroughly, identifying discrepancies and/or omissions
• Chase or source outstanding TPCs in a timely manner
• Collate back-up for reconciliation folder and clearly mark up TPC invoices
• Analyse TPCs in accordance with budget breakdowns and accurately enter into final reconciliation budget
• Produce clear and logical audit trail spreadsheet showing how analysed TPCs were derived
• Set-up and lead timely reconciliation review meeting for final review and agreement
• Prepare clear and consistent reconciliation backup bundle of compliance and TPC documents in accordance with clients’ requirements
• Establish reporting deadlines and requirements per project
• Produce clear and logical audit trail spreadsheet showing how analysed reporting figures were derived
• Produce accurate clients' reporting spreadsheets specific to their requirements
• Timely send/upload to client's portal of templates and supporting compliance and TPC documentation.
• Prepare clear and consistent separate reporting bundle per client for audit purposes
• Participate in clients’ compliance training including use of clients' reporting portals where applicable
• Understand and implement Sunshine Act and EFPIA requirements
• Timely distribution of purchase invoices for checking and approval, ensuring accuracy and correct application to projects
• Efficient R&R team mailbox admin and housekeeping
• Accurate foreign currency distribution and admin
• Undertakes, where necessary, client’s reporting training programmes
• Regularly review and update client compliance guidelines across accounts, referring team and project leads to checklists and updates to guidelines
• Minimum 1 year in a role within a finance environment
