Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Valuation Reporting Manager to lead the valuation and reporting function in Cardiff, ensuring the accurate delivery of portfolio valuations and client reports. The role involves managing a team, overseeing reconciliations, and handling complex financial instruments such as derivatives (swaps, repos, futures/forwards, options, etc.). The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and process improvements within the valuation and reporting framework.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Managing the team providing daily management, coaching, and guidance to your direct reports. Provide inspirational leadership and management, on an individual and team basis, using your extensive experience to motivate and coach the team.
  • Building strong relationships with key stakeholder managers and data/information owners. Ensuring regular meetings take place to discuss clients, processes, improvements, and share best practices. Manage internal and external supplier relationships including SLA/service monitoring.
  • Promoting a procedural and control mindset to ensure tasks and controls are consistently documented and reflected to allow top-rate accuracy, quality, and timeliness of regulatory reporting and data provided whilst mitigating risk.
  • Overseeing the production and review of client and valuation reports, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across all reporting deliverables and that all tasks are sent within SLA.
  • Acting as the key escalation point for reporting and valuation issues, liaising with custodians, external valuation agents, or internal stakeholders.
  • Assisting in the production of audit packs and spearheading projects to improve processes. Work closely with the wider client reporting teams to ensure reporting meets client requirements and SLAs.
  • Maintaining strong data governance processes, ensuring accuracy and integrity of valuation and reporting data. Identifying opportunities to streamline and automate reporting processes, improving efficiency and reducing operational risk.
