Job summary

Alexander Daniels Limited is seeking a Reporting Analyst for our Leicester site. The role blends statutory and group reporting with tax support in a fast-paced finance environment, offering hybrid working options and broad exposure across reporting processes.

You will work closely with the Reporting Manager to deliver accurate financial data, reconciliations and regulatory submissions, while maintaining robust controls and audit evidence for a large UK business.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or equivalent reporting experience.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts, group reporting or financial reporting schedules.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence handling large volumes of financial data.
• Experience working with general ledger systems (Sage experience beneficial but not essential).
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously.
• A proactive mindset with a willingness to support both reporting and tax activities.

Responsibilities

• Preparing statutory accounts schedules, disclosures and supporting analysis.
• Producing group reporting submissions and ensuring data integrity across reporting cycles.
• Reconciling financial information and investigating discrepancies at source.
• Compiling external statistical and regulatory returns.
• Maintaining robust reporting controls, documentation and audit evidence.
• Supporting tax compliance activities, including reconciliations and return preparation.
• Extracting, validating and analysing financial data from ledger systems and other sources.
• Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes and reduce manual intervention.
• Ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies and regulatory requirements.

Are you a detail-driven finance professional who enjoys turning complex data into clear, accurate reporting? We’re working with a major UK business operating across multiple sites nationwide, seeking a talented Reporting Analyst to join their finance team at their Leicester Support Centre.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the Reporting Manager, you’ll be responsible for preparing statutory and group reporting information, supporting regulatory submissions, and helping ensure all reporting obligations are delivered accurately and on time.

This is a varied role offering exposure to both financial reporting and tax, providing excellent breadth and development opportunities whilst becoming a key member of a collaborative finance team.
