Job summary

The Guinness Partnership is seeking a Repairs Surveyor to join our team, covering locations in Hertfordshire & Bedfordshire, with agile working and a 40-hour week. You will carry out surveys and inspections, oversee subcontracted repairs, and ensure work meets Guinness standards and timelines.

You will bring strong knowledge of building standards, HHSRS experience, and the ability to manage contractors while delivering excellent customer service to residents.

Qualifications

  • Excellent knowledge of building construction standards and legislation; diagnose remedies for defects.
  • Experience carrying out Housing Health & Safety Rating System assessments.
  • Understanding of responsive repairs, voids and planned repairs.
  • Proactive, can work on own with limited supervision.
  • Experience managing contractors on site.
  • Excellent written and spoken communications with residents and stakeholders.
  • Good IT skills and knowledge of housing/property management systems.
  • Able to plan, organise and prioritise a heavy workload while mobile.
  • Demonstrates Guinness Behaviours.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out surveys and property inspections.
  • Oversee delivery of subcontracted repairs.
  • Ensure repairs are completed in line with Guinness standards and timeframes.
  • Coordinate with contractors and residents to minimise disruption.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs on site.
