The role is operational and supervisory, with responsibility for coordinating day-to-day activity, checking quality and escalating risks where required.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Basic DBS.

All About You

You’ll bring a strong background in repairs, maintenance or housing property services, with the technical knowledge and practical experience needed to help deliver Camden’s response to Awaab’s Law. Whether through a recognised trade qualification or hands-on experience, you’ll understand responsive repairs and be confident identifying and managing issues such as damp, mould, leaks, ventilation problems and other housing defects.

We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and able to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You’ll have experience supervising trade operatives or coordinating repair activities, ensuring work is completed safely, to a high standard and within required timescales. You’ll be comfortable carrying out inspections, assessing quality, producing clear records and communicating effectively with colleagues, contractors and residents, including those who may be vulnerable.

Strong IT skills and the ability to use repairs and case management systems are essential to supporting effective service delivery. Most importantly, you’ll be committed to providing a responsive, resident-focused service, working collaboratively with others to ensure hazards are addressed quickly, risks are managed appropriately and residents are kept informed throughout the process. A willingness and ability to travel across the borough to attend inspections and support operational delivery is also important.
