Repairs Manager – 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

The role – Repairs Manager

AsaRepairs Manageryouwill be managing the property maintenance team, including responsive repairs, voids and complex repairs cases and ensure that these repairs are carried out in a safe manner for both our residents and colleagues. You will be working in our property maintenance team alongside the Disrepair Manager and, the Damp and Mould Manager and will report to the Head of Property Maintenance.

What you’ll do

You will

  • Ensure the effective delivery of all responsive repairs, voids and complex works with robust contract management
  • Promoting and encouraging information and knowledge sharing between team members giving your people the tools, they need and allowing them to make decisions aligned with their responsibilities and providing the appropriate level of support required to fulfil their responsibilities
  • Support the Head of Property Maintenance with the day to day running of the department & contract
  • Manage the operational relationship between Origin Housing its customers and Stakeholders
  • Manage escalated or complex repair /customer issues and complaints

What you’ll need

  • We’re looking for someone who has:
  • Excellent communication skills for a variety of audiences, the ability to handle escalated customer complaints and build relationships with residents, contractors and stakeholders
  • Experience of successful contract management, commissioning technical reports and commercial awareness
  • Customer service skills - understanding the customers expectations
  • A relevant professional qualification (CIH, RICS, CIOB) or relevant degree
