Pertemps Bond is recruiting a Repair Operative to join Royal Mail at their Milton Keynes processing centre. This hands-on role involves picking, packing, weighing and labeling parcels to meet daily orders, using handheld devices to scan and sort items, and ensuring secure packaging.

Key requirements include good physical fitness, high attention to detail, weekend flexibility, and the ability to pass a DBS check before start. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00, in MK1 post code area.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, weigh, and label products based on daily orders.
• Ensure all packages are properly packaged and sealed.
• Meet the specifics of customer orders in a timely manner.
• Log relevant shipping, order, and label paperwork.
• Selects and package products for shipment based on customer orders.
• Use handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders.
• Handle, install, position, and move materials to optimize inventory and meet orders.
• Compare invoices to items received and ensure accuracy of shipments.
• Follow safety protocols and report issues to mitigate safety concerns.

Your Role

• Pick, pack, weigh, and label products based on daily orders.
• Ensure all packages are properly packaged and sealed.
• Meet the specifics of customer orders in a timely manner.
• Log relevant shipping, order, and label paperwork.
• Selects and package products for shipment based on customer orders.
• Uses technology, including smartphones and handheld devices, to sort, scan, and prepare orders.
• Handles, installs, positions, and moves materials to optimize inventory and meet customer orders.
• Compares invoices to items received to ensure that incoming shipments are correct. Keeps products separated, organized, and in good rotation.
• Follows safety protocols and reports problems to mitigate safety issues.

Requirements

• Good level of physical fitness – this is a hands‑on, active role.
• Attention to detail and strong work ethic.
• Flexibility to work weekends and additional shifts.
• Must pass a criminal background check (DBS) before start.
