Job summary

Platform Recruitment is supporting a leading communications technology business in recruiting a Repair Operations Manager to lead its repair centre operations in Cambridge onsite. You will drive end-to-end service delivery, performance against KPIs and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Key responsibilities include capacity planning, continuous improvement, budget and resource management, and governance to ISO9001 and health & safety standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Proven experience managing repair, service, or production operations
• Strong leadership with experience managing KPIs, budgets, and performance
• Experience driving Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement
• Excellent stakeholder management and customer-facing experience
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
• Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC)

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation of the repair centre and manage service delivery against KPIs and SLAs
• Drive capacity planning, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage budgets, resources, and inventory to optimise performance
• Oversee technical repair capability and maintain high engineering standards
• Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Commercial and Customer Support teams
• Develop and mentor the repair operations team, driving performance and accountability
• Ensure compliance with ISO9001, Health & Safety, and security requirements
• Support commercial activities, including tenders, pricing, and service proposals

My client, a leading communications technology business, is looking for a Repair Operations Manager to lead its repair service operations. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end performance of the repair centre, driving operational excellence, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service across a fast-paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities
