Job Title: Repair Design Engineer

Location: Bristol - Hybrid (Minimum 3 Days On-Site Per Week)

Working Pattern: Full Time

Role Overview

As a Repair Design Engineer, you will support operational Defence customers and Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) facilities. Your responsibilities include developing, validating, and implementing innovative repair solutions for mission-critical components, working with advanced aerospace technology to ensure Rolls-Royce engines remain operational, efficient, and cost-effective. You will work on a diverse range of products, including engines like Adour, EJ200, RB199, and others. This role is ideal for those passionate about problem-solving and engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and support Repair Instructions, coordinating with internal and external Repair suppliers
• Establish acceptance standards for service-run components and support MRO operations
• Collaborate with Materials Repair Technology teams on repair and inspection technologies
• Identify cost reduction and reliability improvement opportunities
• Drive continuous process and tool improvements for repair instructions

Candidate Requirements

• A degree in a STEM subject or relevant engineering experience (Mechanical, Aeronautical, Electrical, or Controls)
• Broad understanding of gas turbine technologies (training provided if needed)
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
• Ability to manage multiple commitments across different projects and timelines
