Job summary

Arnold Clark is seeking a Driver/Valeter for the Milton Keynes branch. The role involves presenting vehicles in top condition, performing cleaning tasks, and assisting with vehicle collection and delivery to customers and other branches.

The position suits someone who enjoys an active, physical role, has excellent attention to detail and works well in a team. Training via the Valet Academy may be provided.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Clean sold and stock vehicles to a high standard.
• Clean vehicles with a high-powered pressure washer and vacuum.
• Use polishing/buffing equipment to enhance bodywork.
• Drive to collect and deliver vehicles to customers and branches.
• Comply with health and safety procedures when handling chemicals.
• Maintain and secure equipment and machinery, report defects.
• Work to set timeframes and targets.
• Complete a daily record of work.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Driver/Valeter to join the Rental department in our Milton Keynes branch.

Hours

Full time: 45 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 and alternative Saturdays

About The Role

As an Arnold Clark Driver/Valeter, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all our vehicles are presented in the best possible condition.

This position will be a perfect fit for someone who enjoys working in an active, physical role, has excellent attention to detail and is a fantastic team player.

Day-to-day duties

• Cleaning sold and stock vehicles to a high standard.
• Cleaning vehicles with a high-powered pressure washer and vacuum.
• Working with a polishing/buffing machine to enhance bodywork.
• Driving to collect and deliver vehicles to customers and branches.
• Complying with health and safety procedures while working with chemicals.
• Making sure that all equipment and machinery is properly maintained and secure,, reporting any defects and complying with manufacturers’ instructions and PPE recommendations.
• Working to set timeframes and targets.
• Completing a daily record of work.

Essential Requirements

• Full UK driving licence
• High level of attention to detail
• Self-motivation with the ability to work as part of a team
• The ability to multi-task
• Willingness to participate in training programmes

Valet experience is preferred, but training can be provided for a candidate who demonstrates a high level of enthusiasm and the other required criteria. Arnold Clark also operates a Valet Academy which all new valet staff will attend.
