Job summary

Arnold Clark in Leeds is seeking a motivated Driver/Valeter to join the Rental department. You will ensure vehicles are presented to the highest standards and support the busy branch operation.

Ideal candidates will hold a full UK driving licence, enjoy active work, work well in a team, and be willing to learn. Training is available, and the role offers 42.5 hours per week with 5 days across 7 and weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Self-motivation with the ability to work as part of a team.
• The ability to multi-task.
• Willingness to participate in training programmes.
• Valet experience is preferred, but training can be provided for a candidate who demonstrates enthusiasm and required criteria.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning sold and stock vehicles to a high standard.
• Cleaning vehicles with a high-powered pressure washer and vacuum.
• Working with a polishing/buffing machine to enhance bodywork.
• Driving to collect and deliver vehicles to customers and branches.
• Complying with health and safety procedures while working with chemicals.
• Maintaining equipment and reporting defects.
• Working to set timeframes and targets.
• Completing a daily record of work.

HoursFull time: 42.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, 1 in 3 weekends
About The RoleAs an Arnold Clark Driver/Valeter, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all our vehicles are presented in the best possible condition.
This position will be a perfect fit for someone who enjoys working in an active, physical role, has excellent attention to detail and is a fantastic team player.
Day-to-day duties

• Cleaning sold and stock vehicles to a high standard.
• Cleaning vehicles with a high-powered pressure washer and vacuum.
• Working with a polishing/buffing machine to enhance bodywork.
• Driving to collect and deliver vehicles to customers and branches.
• Complying with health and safety procedures while working with chemicals.
• Making sure that all equipment and machinery is properly maintained and secure,, reporting any defects and complying with manufacturers’ instructions and PPE recommendations.
• Working to set timeframes and targets.
• Completing a daily record of work.

Essential Requirements

Valet experience is preferred, but training can be provided for a candidate who demonstrates a high level of enthusiasm and the other required criteria. Arnold Clark also operates a Valet Academy which all new valet staff will attend.
