Job summary

Arnold Clark Group is seeking a Driver/Valeter to ensure our vehicles are presented in top condition. The role fits an active, physical environment and requires keen attention to detail and teamwork.

In addition to a full UK driving licence, you will help maintain high standards, learn through our Valet Academy, and contribute to a safe, efficient workflow across branches.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is required.
• High level of attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Clean sold and stock vehicles to a high standard.
• Clean vehicles with a pressure washer and vacuum.
• Polish/buff bodywork to enhance appearance.
• Drive to collect and deliver vehicles to customers and branches.
• Follow health and safety procedures when handling chemicals.
• Maintain and report any equipment defects, follow PPE guidelines.
• Work to set timescales and targets.
• Keep a daily record of work.

Hours

Full time: 42.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, 1 in 3 weekends

About the role

As an Arnold Clark Driver/Valeter, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all our vehicles are presented in the best possible condition.

This position will be a perfect fit for someone who enjoys working in an active, physical role, has excellent attention to detail and is a fantastic team player.

Day-to-day duties

• Cleaning sold and stock vehicles to a high standard.


• Cleaning vehicles with a high-powered pressure washer and vacuum.


• Working with a polishing/buffing machine to enhance bodywork.


• Driving to collect and deliver vehicles to customers and branches.


• Complying with health and safety procedures while working with chemicals.


• Making sure that all equipment and machinery is properly maintained and secure,, reporting any defects and complying with manufacturers’ instructions and PPE recommendations.


• Working to set timeframes and targets.


• Completing a daily record of work.

Essential requirements

• Full UK driving licence

Valet experience is preferred, but training can be provided for a candidate who demonstrates a high level of enthusiasm and the other required criteria. Arnold Clark also operates a Valet Academy which all new valet staff will attend.
