Job summary

Arnold Clark in Dundee is seeking a Weekend Driver/Valeter to keep vehicles presented to a high standard. You will work Saturdays and Sundays in a busy rental branch, performing cleaning, detailing and occasional vehicle deliveries as required.

The role suits someone who enjoys physical work, prides themselves on accuracy, and enjoys teamwork. Training is provided, with opportunities to join Arnold Clark’s Valet Academy and develop within a supportive culture.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean sold and stock vehicles to a high standard
• Clean vehicles with pressure washer and vacuum
• Polish/buff bodywork to enhance appearance
• Drive to collect and deliver vehicles to customers and branches
• Comply with health and safety procedures when handling chemicals
• Maintain and secure equipment, report defects and follow PPE guidelines
• Work to set timeframes and targets
• Complete a daily record of work

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Weekend Driver/Valeter to join our Rental branch in Dundee..

Hours

Part Time: Saturday 7.30am-4.30pm, Sunday 7.30am -4.30pm.

About The Role

As an Arnold Clark Driver/Valeter, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all our vehicles are presented in the best possible condition.

This position will be a perfect fit for someone who enjoys working in an active, physical role, has excellent attention to detail and is a fantastic team player.

Day-to-day duties

• Cleaning sold and stock vehicles to a high standard.
• Cleaning vehicles with a high-powered pressure washer and vacuum.
• Working with a polishing/buffing machine to enhance bodywork.
• Driving to collect and deliver vehicles to customers and branches.
• Complying with health and safety procedures while working with chemicals.
• Making sure that all equipment and machinery is properly maintained and secure,, reporting any defects and complying with manufacturers’ instructions and PPE recommendations.
• Working to set timeframes and targets.
• Completing a daily record of work.

Essential Requirements

• Full UK driving licence
• High level of attention to detail
• Self-motivation with the ability to work as part of a team
• The ability to multi-task
• Willingness to participate in training programmes

Valet experience is preferred, but training can be provided for a candidate who demonstrates a high level of enthusiasm and the other required criteria. Arnold Clark also operates a Valet Academy which all new valet staff will attend.
