Job summary

Arnold Clark Car & Van Rental is seeking an organised and enthusiastic Rental Customer Advisor for our Glasgow branch. You’ll join a busy team, delivering high standards of customer service face to face and over the phone, with daily reports and branch promotions.

The role requires flexibility to work a rota including weekends. Full time hours are 42.5 per week, and you’ll be supported by extensive training and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Strong administrative skills required.
• Demonstrable ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills with customers and colleagues.
• Flexibility to work shifts on a rota basis seven days per week and cover other branches.
• A full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a consistently excellent level of customer care, both face to face and on the telephone.
• Using communication and organisational skills to ensure tasks are completed effectively and efficiently.
• Handle customer complaints and queries.
• Monitor and control expenditure.
• Run daily reports and ensure they’re acted on.
• Promote the branch and a positive customer experience.
• Occasionally cover at other branches when needed.

Hours

Full time: 42.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 and alternate weekends

About The Role

As part of a busy Arnold Clark Car & Van Rental team, you’ll work with management and other staff members to deliver the excellent service levels our customers expect from us.

The right person for this varied role will be flexible, organised and committed to providing a high standard of customer service at all times.

Day-to-day duties

• Delivering a consistently excellent level of customer care, both face to face and on the telephone
• Using your brilliant communication and organisational skills to ensure all tasks are completed effectively and efficiently
• Handling customer complaints and queries
• Monitoring and controlling expenditure
• Running daily reports and ensuring they’re acted on
• Helping to promote the branch and a positive customer experience
• Occasionally covering at other branches when needed
