Job summary

Hightown Housing Association aims to recruit an Income Recovery Administrator to support the Housing team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role focuses on administering rent accounts, reducing arrears, and delivering a high standard of customer service.

You will work closely with Income Recovery Officers and external partners to process transactions, manage repayments, and assist tenancy sustainment while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience of data processing and maintaining accurate records.
• Experience of managing processes and working within established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Income Recovery Team.
• Manage telephone, email and written enquiries relating to rent accounts.
• Contact customers about rent arrears and discuss repayment arrangements.
• Maintain records of rent payments and benefit payments.
• Monitor rent account reports and update tenancy information.
• Process rent refunds, balance transfers and direct debit amendments.
• Lead on recovery of former arrears, recharges and court costs.
• Liaise with Housing Benefit departments and support UC verification processes.
• Ensure accurate system records and support tenancy sustainment.
