Job summary

Astute People is seeking a experienced Quantity Surveyor for an 18-month fixed-term contract at the Scunthorpe site. The role involves four days per week on site with monthly travel to Shepton Mallet, Somerset for a contact day, supporting delivery of a 150MW solar and 60MW BESS project.

You will manage budgets, tender processes, cost reporting, and payments, while building relationships with subcontractors and internal teams to drive commercial success.

Qualifications

• Qualified or professionally experienced Quantity Surveyor with background in commercial construction, renewables or electrical projects.
• Proven experience in construction cost management, budgeting, tendering and subcontractor management.
• Experience with variations, payment processes, cost reporting and commercial risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead the subcontractor tender process and assess commercial options.
• Develop and manage project budgets and cost plans with accurate reporting.
• Provide cost reporting and commercial insight to senior stakeholders.
