Job summary

Fuse Energy is seeking a Project Development Manager to identify and secure new energy projects across data centres, BESS, wind, rooftop and ground-mounted installations in the UK. You will manage the local commercial network, structure PPAs and lead acquisitions from opportunity through to completion, reporting to the Head of Projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level with a specialisation in power, renewable energy, agronomy, environmental studies or project management (experienced candidates without this are also welcome)
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a development role, with a successful track record in project development
• Organised, open-minded and autonomous, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a multifaceted environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with all types of stakeholders and excellent verbal and written communication
• Solid analytical skills, strong adaptability and efficiency
• Knowledge of the UK renewable sector and how local authorities and administrations operate is a plus
• A valid driving licence (held for more than 1 year) is essential, as travel is required

Responsibilities

• Stakeholder engagement and market development: build local networks and engage clients to structure PPAs.
• Project acquisition: secure late-stage Ready-to-Build projects and lead negotiations.
• Site identification and feasibility: assess opportunities via cartographic studies and data analysis.
• Project development and permitting: manage lifecycle from site selection to pre-construction and permit liaison.
• Pre-construction and tender management: prepare tender files and support EPC negotiations.
