Job summary

Fuse Energy is seeking a Civil Engineer to deliver specialist civil engineering across the UK utility-scale Solar PV, Wind, BESS (standalone & co-located), Gas-Peaking and Data Centre portfolio, from development through construction, commissioning, and handover to operations.

You will act as the technical authority for civil engineering, review EPC designs, ensure safety and compliance with UK standards, and provide constructability input to optimise long-term asset performance.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of civil engineering experience in construction, infrastructure, energy, or renewables.
• Strong experience in utility-scale Solar PV, Wind, BESS, or large-scale infra projects.
• Deep understanding of earthworks, drainage design, roads, foundations, and underground services.
• Experience reviewing civil drawings, designs, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Act as the civil engineering subject matter expert across Infrastructure projects.
• Review and approve civil designs from EPCs, consultants, and contractors.
• Ensure all civil works are safe, buildable, and compliant with standards.
• Provide engineering assurance across development, construction, and handover phases.
• Support EPC interface and respond to technical queries.
