Job summary

Fuse Energy, a UK-based renewables startup, is hiring a Project Development Manager to identify, secure and develop energy projects across data centres, BESS, wind, rooftop and ground-mounted installations. You’ll manage the local commercial network, structure PPAs and lead acquisitions from opportunity through to handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level in power, renewable energy, agronomy, environmental studies or project management.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in a development role with a track record in project development.
• Organised, open-minded and autonomous, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of the UK renewable sector is a plus and a valid driving licence with travel.
• Travel is required and a driving licence held for more than 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Stakeholder engagement and market development: build a local network and engage clients to structure PPAs and respond to tenders.
• Project acquisition: source late-stage Ready-to-Build projects and lead commercial negotiations and due diligence.
• Site identification and feasibility: conduct cartographic studies, data analysis and feasibility studies; secure land or leases.
• Project development and permitting: manage lifecycle from site selection to pre-construction; coordinate with planners, consultants and grid operators.
• Pre-construction and tender management: prepare tender files, manage procurement tenders and draft technical and commercial appendices
