Job summary

Fuse Energy, a fast-growing energy startup, seeks a Development Manager to identify and secure new energy prospects across data centres, BESS, wind, rooftop and ground-mounted installations in the UK & Ireland. You will build local networks with authorities, landowners and industrial clients, and lead commercial negotiations through to close.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level in power, renewable energy, agronomy, environmental studies or project management (experience also welcome).
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyse and secure new energy prospects across data centres, BESS, wind, rooftop, carport and ground-mounted installations.
• Build and maintain a strong local network with authorities, landowners, industrial clients and regional administrations.
• Establish relationships with developers, IPPs, utilities and landowners to source late-stage and Ready-to-Build projects.
• Lead commercial negotiations (NDAs, NBOs, LOIs, exclusivity agreements and acquisition terms).
• Engage clients to structure PPAs and respond to tenders.
• Conduct feasibility studies, coordinate consultations, and secure land or lease agreements.
• Manage development lifecycle from site selection through permitting and pre-construction, liaising with planners, consultants, legal experts, authorities and grid operators.
• Coordinate procurement and EPC support; collaborate with Finance, GIS and engineering to optimise design and handover.
