Job summary

Perigus Energy is seeking a Commercial Analyst to support commercial analysis and optimisation of onshore wind, solar and battery storage projects across Ireland and the UK. You will work across development pipelines, support business cases, analyse options and underpin investment decisions with robust analysis.

You will collaborate with development, technical, procurement, finance and power trading teams to maintain models and prepare clear outputs for senior management.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with a relevant qualification or practical experience.
• Good Excel skills and a foundation in financial modelling.
• Understanding of basic electricity market concepts and an interest in renewables.
• Attention to detail and a structured approach to checking work.
• Ability to identify incomplete inputs and seek guidance when needed.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and manage deadlines.
• Clear communication, curiosity and willingness to take responsibility.
• Experience in renewable energy, financial analysis or electricity markets is useful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Updating and maintaining project financial models, gathering and reconciling inputs from multiple teams.
• Maintaining clear records of project assumptions and sources.
• Analysing revenues, costs and returns, running sensitivities, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Supporting routes to market analysis, PPAs and auction participation, including bid economics.
• Assisting with auction participation analysis and bid economics.
• Preparing charts, presentations and analysis for investment cases to senior management.
• Developing ability to explain findings and discuss projects with senior colleagues.
