Job summary

Perigus Energy is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead the commercial analysis and optimisation of onshore wind, solar and battery storage projects across Ireland and the UK. You will shape business cases, identify opportunities to improve value, and support investment approvals with robust recommendations.

Working with FID leads and colleagues across development, engineering, procurement and finance, you will own commercial workstreams, assess risks, and present findings to senior management

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in renewable energy commercial management, project investment or closely related field.
• Ability to work independently across multiple workstreams.
• Strong commercial judgement to identify information gaps, risks and opportunities.
• Understanding of electricity markets, revenue structures and routes to market (UK/IE).
• Strong financial modelling skills and ability to update project finance models.

Responsibilities

• Own ongoing commercial appraisal and optimisation of projects to improve revenues, costs, risk allocation and investment returns.
• Identify and evaluate commercial, delivery and investment risks, escalate where needed.
• Critically review technical, commercial and financial inputs and validate where required.
• Assess routes to market including PPAs, support schemes and merchant exposure.
• Lead commercial analysis for auction participation, including bid economics and recommendations for approval.
• Present investment recommendations to senior management and shareholders.
• Guide junior colleagues to improve consistency and quality of analysis.
